The daughter of a powerful landowner in a rural village, Cheon Ha-yan, lost her biological mother in an accident during her childhood and now has a disability that prevents her from properly using one of her legs. To care for the physically challenged Ha-yan, her father, Cheon Nam-il, hires Lee Eun-baek as her caregiver and worker. Initially, they only had an employer-employee relationship. However, when the novelist Kang Yeo-hyun moves into the quiet town, Ha-yan's gaze towards Eun-baek changes with just one of her words. Ha-yan begins to notice Eun-baek's strong physique, and the rough joints of his hands start to linger in her mind. Eventually, driven by her overflowing curiosity, Ha-yan makes unreasonable demands of Eun-baek, who believes that fulfilling them is a way to care for a girl like a younger sister. She thought it was not love, but rather consideration and curiosity. However, as feelings of affection begin to blossom in both Eun-baek and Ha-yan's hearts, an unexpected incident puts Eun-baek in a difficult situation, accused of a heinous crime as a murder suspect.
