Born during the outbreak of the Imjin War in the Joseon Dynasty, 'Kang Yuwol' was one of the few remaining gumiho in the world. Starting with the Imjin War, Yuwol has survived each day, overcoming the brink of life and death. During the Japanese colonial period, Yuwol, seeking to end this tough life, joins the independence movement and meets the independence fighter 'Kim Sehwa'. Having the deepest disdain for humans, Yuwol was unaware of her love for Sehwa. It is only when Sehwa meets her end in Yuwol's arms that she realizes the feeling of love. Following Sehwa's last words to continue living, Yuwol resumes her tough existence. As she continues her mundane life, Yuwol encounters a spring that bears Sehwa's face...
