The year after meeting Adachi was relatively impressive, making the past feel even more distant. Good or bad, Adachi is so striking that he overshadows other memories. My past might someday be filled with moments spent with Adachi. I hardly have any memories to speak of. And right now, all I have is Shimamura. At least in this moment. I still remember well what happened a year ago, so it exists in my mind. Therefore, it’s not really the past. I wonder if I can someday share my past with Shimamura. The Shimamura before meeting Adachi and the Adachi after meeting Shimamura.
