The unsuccessful novelist, Matabi Sanada, picks up an injured and weakened cat on a rainy day. However, the true identity of this cat is a 1,200-year-old cat spirit that can transform into a human! It can speak human language, and in its human form, it is a complete beauty! Its name is Kaneko (a cute abbreviation for cat). Having run out of ideas for his novel, Matabi Sanada holds a faint hope that he might be able to gather some inspiration.
